RRB NTPC Undergraduate Photo and Signature Upload Guide
A CEN-specific checklist for the live photo step, scanned signature upload, optional documents, and common form errors. Do not copy rules from an older NTPC or Group D cycle.
This guide is based on the official CEN 07/2026 notification. Check the active RRB portal for any correction or replacement notice before submitting.

Open the official CEN 07/2026 notification and then select the active CEN in the RRB Apply portal.
The photograph is captured live
CEN 07/2026 requires a live photograph captured in the application. Do not prepare an old passport photo for this step.
- Use a plain, well-lit background and keep the face centered.
- Allow camera permission when the application requests it.
- Close other camera-using apps if the webcam is unavailable.
- Use the phone or QR fallback if the portal provides one.
- Do not photograph a printed, scanned, or displayed old photograph.
Signature upload rule
Prepare the scanned signature separately from the live photo. Use black ink on plain white paper, running or joined handwriting, and a clear scan at a minimum of 100 DPI.

Optional SC/ST travel certificate
Candidates claiming the applicable free travel concession may need to upload a legible SC/ST certificate PDF under 400 KB. It is separate from the signature and is not required for every applicant.
Prepare a PDF to the active CEN limitCommon rejection causes
Wrong format
A PNG or WebP file is not the required JPG/JPEG signature output.
Outside the KB range
A signature outside the active CEN range will be rejected.
Weak scan
Faint ink, shadows, ruled paper, or low resolution can make the signature unclear.
Wrong photo workflow
The form expects a live capture; an old passport photo is not a substitute.
Application timeline
- Online applications: October 15 to November 13, 2026.
- Fee payment deadline: November 15, 2026.
- Modification window: November 16 to November 25, 2026.
- Check the portal for the current notice, application status, and any correction.
