Why do I need to join the front and back of my ID?
Many portals only provide a single upload button for 'ID Proof'. If you upload only the front, they cannot verify your address (which is on the back). Joining them into one image ensures your application isn't rejected.
Does this tool store my Aadhaar card?
NO. Your Aadhaar card is highly sensitive. This tool runs 100% locally in your web browser. Your images are NEVER uploaded to our servers. You can even disconnect your internet after loading the page and the tool will still work.
What layout should I choose?
The 'Top & Bottom' layout is best if you plan to convert the image to a PDF later, as it fits well on an A4 page. The 'Side by Side' layout is best if you just need to upload a square/landscape image.
How do I compress the final image?
After you click 'Download Joined Image', you can use our 100KB or 200KB compressor tools to reduce the file size if the portal requires it.
Why does a portal ask for the Aadhaar front and back in one file?
Some receiving portals provide only one upload slot for an identity document. Join both sides only when the form asks for one combined file, and follow that portal's required layout, format, and file-size limits.
What should I do if the merged Aadhaar file is rejected?
Check whether the portal accepts JPG or PDF, whether the file is too large, and whether both sides are readable. This independent tool does not replace UIDAI or the receiving organisation's current instructions.
