A transparent PNG uses an alpha channel to make the background invisible. When you place it over a document, only the ink strokes show - no white rectangle covering your text.
Can I convert the transparent PNG back to JPG?expand_more
Yes. If your exam portal requires JPG format (which doesn't support transparency), use our Signature to JPG converter. It will add a white background and save as JPEG.
Does this work with blue ink signatures?expand_more
Yes. The tool preserves ink of any colour - black, blue, or dark grey. Only the light background pixels are made transparent.

Light yellow paper usually works. For strongly coloured backgrounds, the result may be imperfect. Scan on plain white paper for the cleanest output.
