SSC MTS Signature Resizer
Prepare your scanned signature file for the Staff Selection Commission MTS & Havaldar application. Understand the difference between the live webcam photo step and the scanned signature upload slot.
warningVerify Active SSC Notification
The official SSC annual calendar provides tentative notification windows. Always check the active notice on ssc.gov.in for current cycle upload specifications.
Photograph: Portal Capture Step
- • If the portal provides a live-photo step, capture it there rather than uploading an old file.
- • Follow the active notice for background, lighting, and framing.
- • Avoid anything that obscures the face when the portal requires a clear face capture.
- • Review the portal preview before continuing.
Signature: Scanned File Upload
- • Uploaded as a separate image file from your device.
- • Check the active notice for the required file size, dimensions, and format.
- • Use the exact-size preset only when the notice specifies a matching range.
- • Follow the notice for ink colour, paper, and signature framing.

Common SSC Upload Errors & How to Fix Them
These fixes reflect the previous MTS notice and are provided as a preparation guide; verify the current notice before submission.
JPEG signature: 10 to 20 KB
What it means: The previous MTS notice specifies a scanned signature in JPEG format with a 10 to 20 KB range.
Fix: Verify the current notice, then export JPG/JPEG and check the final bytes before uploading.
Signature dimension: about 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm
What it means: This physical dimension appeared in the previous notice and must not be treated as a permanent SSC-wide rule.
Fix: Use the active MTS notice as the source of truth and keep the handwriting undistorted.
Illegible, blurred or miniature signature
What it means: The previous notice identifies illegible, blurred, and miniature signatures as rejection risks.
Fix: Use a clear original, crop around the complete mark, and review it at 100% before compression.
Photo captured through camera
What it means: Recent SSC flows may require a live photo rather than a pre-existing passport photograph.
Fix: Complete the camera step inside the official portal when requested; this tool prepares only the scanned signature.
Face, background or lighting problem
What it means: The previous notice describes good light, a plain background, eye-level camera framing, and an unobscured face.
Fix: Follow the active portal preview and its current capture instructions.
Portal upload failed
What it means: A valid local file can still fail when a session expires or the portal has a temporary issue.
Fix: Recheck the file locally, refresh the official SSC session, and use the portal's retry path.
